T-Mobile plans to launch the Nokia E73, a thin Symbian smartphone with a built-in keyboard, on June 16 for $70 with a two-year contract.
The Bellevue, Wash.-based carrier said the new E73, and update to the popular E72, is a business workhorse, offering Wi-Fi connectivity and high-speed 3G Internet.
It features a 2.4-inch screen, 5.0-megapixel camera with VGA video recording, an optical trackpad, free Ovi Maps for turn-by-turn directions and Ovi Store for access to a library of apps and games.
The handset also has a new email interface, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync client and IBM Lotus Traveler, making it easier to handle multiple inboxes -- with support and access to Salesforce.com and Bloomberg.
"The E73 brings style and function in an affordable device without compromise," said Mark Slater, Nokia's vice president of sales. "It allows consumers and businesses to be as productive as possible."
Yesterday, T-Mobile unveiled a trio of phones from LG Electronics, marking a new partnership between the two companies.
